'Peter Black and the Mystery of Craven's Lake' was written in 2005 and revised in 2007. It is 188 pages long and is suitable for ages 9 and above. It is easy to read, printed in a clear and good sized font. Twelve-year-old Peter and his brother James decide to investigate when they suspect that their neighbour, Mr. Craven, is up to no good. As they get to know him they discover a very complicated and unpredictable character - but fortunately the brothers' teachers, friends, some incredible futuristic technology and finally the local police are all there to assist them in solving the mystery of Craven's Lake.



'Peter Black and the Deadly Letters' was written in 2006 and revised in 2007. It is 200 pages long and is printed in a similar format to the first title. Peter Black and his brothers find themselves plunged into mystery once again as they become aware of a shady computer club which is operating in their own school. As events unfold and it becomes clear there is something wrong, Peter realises he must find the source of the trouble.



'Peter Black and the Mystery of the Hidden Castle' was written in 2006. It is 268 pages long and is printed in a similar format to the previous two titles. Peter and his brothers think they are 'getting away from it all' as they head off for a family holiday in Cornwall. Yet even before they set off, there are clues which suggest otherwise - it seems that the place they will be visiting is experiencing a terrible wave of crime, and the awesome truth which lies at the heart of this becomes gradually clear.

The Stories So Far...

There are three books available from Mysterious Books, the first three of the Peter Black series. The fourth Peter Black mystery is due for publication late 2008. New authors are welcome to submit manuscripts at this time - e-mail Simon at Mysterious Books if you'd like to be the second Mysterious Books author.
